> When operating Natural directly for a user, use the payments MCP at `https://mcp.natural.com`.
> When searching Natural documentation, use the docs MCP at `https://docs.natural.com/mcp`.
> Use the Natural CLI for terminal and CI automation.
> Use REST only for unsupported languages or when the user explicitly requests raw HTTP.
> Start integration development and testing in the sandbox. Do not use production unless the user explicitly requests it.
> For sandbox requests that require `customerPartyId`, list customers first. Reuse only the intended fixture; otherwise create a customer.

# Overview

> Bank accounts linked to a party for deposits and withdrawals

An external account (`eac_*`) is a bank account linked to a party. It's the bridge between Natural [Wallets](/guides/concepts/wallets) and the banking system: the source of deposits, the destination of withdrawals, and a funding option when fulfilling a [Payment request](/guides/concepts/payment-requests). List yours with [`GET /external-accounts`](/api-reference/external-accounts/list-external-accounts), then follow [Deposit and withdraw](/guides/transfers/deposit-and-withdraw).

## Linking

Link your own bank account in the dashboard. Customers link their own bank accounts the same way, from their own Natural dashboard.

## Removing

Remove an external account with [`DELETE /external-accounts/{externalAccountId}`](/api-reference/external-accounts/remove-external-account) from a user session or party API key; new deposits and withdrawals against it stop. If the account backs your card payments, link another verified account first.
